Cuba Continuum

I am back from this summer’s travels and I have a bag full of photographs to share with you. For the next 30 days, a visual odyssey to Cuba awaits – no jet lag required. Travelling from the crumbling pastel tinged splendour of Havana to the green palm fringed shores of Guardalavaca, by plane, train, bus, horse cart and foot, past and present merged and collided.

Vibrant colours, epic skies, stories, smiling, waiting … restaurants encased in decaying palaces, salsa beats, drums, brass, dance, twirl … the latest fashions, empty shops, poverty and melancholy, wrapped in the tendrils of cigar smoke and the warm hit of distilled sugar cane.
